Q: Do I always have to call 9-1-1?
A: Yes, this is the way that we are able to be properly dispatched. Calling 9-1-1 allows us to respond with the closest available ambulance along with the closest first responder unit.

Q: How many ambulances do you have?
A: We presently have 8 ambulances stationed throughout Emmet County. We also serve portions of Charlevoix and Cheboygan Counties.

Q: Do you do private transports?
A: Yes, we are available for private transports 24 hours a day.

Q: Can I stop by the stations?
A: Yes, everyone is welcome to stop by the stations at any point. As stated before though if it is a medical emergency we do prefer that you call 911 as many times crews are out on calls.

Q: Is ambulance service available 24 hours a day, all year round?
A: Emmet County EMS has 4 Advanced life support crews on 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Q: Do you offer memberships?
A: Yes we offer annual memberships to residents of all communities in our service area
